Franciszek Jan Miedziak

Could someone please tidy up and remove the cracks in this picture please.  His name is Franciszek Jan Miedziak and he flew with 304 Squadron during WW2 and was injured on his last sortie when his badly shot up Wellington Bomber crash landed back in England.  He suffered a broken back but survived and lived until 1999.  Many thanks

His daughter and grandson will be delighted with that!  They know virtually nothing about his pre-war and wartime life and I am researching that for them.  This will be the icing on the cake.

I have been in a spot of bother recently over the colourisation of historic photos by our local "expert" who always vastly over intensely colours them!  But this is magnificent!  Anyone seeing it would believe it was a natural colour photograph.  I will be so happy to give a copy of this photo to the lady who has entrusted me with researching her father's military career.  I had a little difficulty persuading her that I would do it for free - but his is such an interesting life and with so little recorded evidence.  So I needed access to documents and photos in her possession to show me exactly where to look.  I didn't even know what he looked like!

Many thanks for your kind words.. I do try to keep colours as natural as possible, so I am so pleased you like this. You may notice I haven't coloured his ribbons in, I didn't know what colours to use but if you know, please let me know and I will add them.
