I am reasonably confident the Smiths are working out..... I can't quite pinpoint Bertha's yet though.

I am researching Hannah Adams and Thomas Nelson......  I can't quite figure if its correct that they are on the Emma   none of the passenger lists I see have them on board....

then I have them married back in England in 1837  which works with them arriving into Sydney on the Hero of Malone in 1839  with son Thomas on board.  The record has son Thomas on board aged 4 which support his birth being 1834

but then Maria who is meant to have been born
NELSON, MARIA       ADAMS
GRO Reference: 1838  S Quarter in ST MARY NEWINGTON  Volume 04  Page 308
(perhaps the  baptism 25 July 1839) in Brixton  England   how does she fit into the arrival...

I have  other children for Maria & Joseph,  Amy, David and Arthur,  Hannah, Charles Joseph and Josephine  and incl. Eggleston Erastus

Are there 2 Thomas Nelson's?????
Thomas Nelson senior's death in 1907 he is buried at the Payneham Cemetery and the inscription reads wife Polly   so I have been looking for a 2nd marriage...

 ??? ??? ???

Why are you interested in Bertha?

Bertha SMITH b. ~ 1874 -
"..I have siblings for her Albert Heath, Francis Evelyn, Emily A., Walter Herbert, & George Ernest"

If you "have" names you need to give the source. Where did you find the information about siblings for Bertha?

Are you using another researchers material?

Firstly I am trying to complete my study and research on the descendants of Thomas Nelson and Hannah Adams...... Albert Heath and Bertha show up in tree on Family search....

The siblings names all come from research and help that others have done for me on this topic and in the post here....

Bertha is just sitting there on her own at the moment with nothing to prove that this correct

Regards

There was a big gap after the birth of Albert Heath SMITH in Adelaide and the children born at Albury.

John SMITH and Mary Ann NELSON were living at Woods Point in VIC by 1871 where the next two children were born.
Martha Elizabeth SMITH in 1871 - reg #6416
Benjamin Joseph SMITH in 1873 - reg # 2199

Then two more children were born at Wodonga VIC.
William Ludwig SMITH in 1875 - reg #26698
Rose Amelia SMITH in 1878 - reg #12664

Perhaps someone thought Martha was named “Bertha”?
