Martyne Sockett b1879 Holmer

I cannot find anything about Martyne Sockett apart from the 1881 census transcription on Familysearch where the family is down as Lockett (RG11/2591/72/14).
I cant find a birth or death record for him and he doesn't appear on later census returns.
What happened to him??
Could someone help find him please.

Could he be the Robert Manthorpe Sockett b March qtr 1879?  His brother Enock's birth reg shows mmn Manthorp (Enock died 1882)

He is with parents on the 1891 as Robert M

That could be the answer, same birth year.
Robert Manthorpe and Martyne are quite different names so I wonder how.

Carole is spot on.
Robert M is my great uncle. This had me puzzled a few years ago. With help on here and his birth certificate from Hereford we solved it.

I did notify them at the time but it is obviously still there.
Quite a lot of trees contain this error.

I know quite a bit about them.  There were 13 children born to parents Joseph, 1847-1907, my g/grandfather, and Elizabeth Ann Manthorpe 1852-1903 who is descended from the de Manthorpes an Anglo Norman family.
It's late for me so I will get back to you tomorrow with more information.
