2 Battalion, Kings Royal Rifle Corps
« on: Thursday 14 November 19 01:33 GMT (UK) »
Good evening
I am currently researching my uncles record of service with 2Bn KRRC.
In his service records in the entries "Services at Home and Abroad" for the period 18 Mar 1919 to 4 Jun 1919 is "B.E.F." which I assume is British Expeditionary Force.  As there is no information on the KRRC Association website as to the location of the 2nd Bn for this period, can anyone give me the location of the B.E.F. for this period please?

Here are a couple of links to help you out.

This one tells you were 2KRRC started from in 1914.  Great web site with loads of WWI info.

This has the 2KRRC war diary which is completed almost every day with locations and other info.  Don't expect specific soldier names.  Small amount to pay to get it though.

I also have researched an ancestor who was in 2KRRC.

2KRRC was in the 1st Division. After the war ended the 1st Division was part of the occupation forces in Bonn.

I found that war diaries for 2KRRC do not survive for 1917 and 1918.
