Can't locate a marriage 1880 (or thereabouts)
« on: Friday 15 November 19 08:53 GMT (UK) »
in 1881 Wedges Mills, Cheslyn Hay: https://www.ancestry.co.uk/interactive/7572/STSRG11_2784_2788-0518/19381296

   John   Wood   Head   Married   52
Elizabeth   Wood   Wife   Married   55   (nee Brierley, married 1851)
   John A.   Wood   Son      15
        Frederick W.   Wood   Son      11
George H(enry)   Brown   Lodger   Married   21
Elizabeth   Brown   Daughter   Married   17      (Elizabeth Wood in earlier census)
   Alfred   Brown   Grandson   3/12

Can't spot a marriage for George H Brown and Elizabeth Wood.
Both still around in 1911 and claiming a marriage 1879/1880-ish.
Later trail of kids can all be found with MMN of Wood.

Anyone feeling inspired?

Pauline

September quarter 1880 - Aston Registration District - 6d, page 403

George Henry Brown and Elizabeth Wood on that page

Marriage Locator says that the marriage took place at St Saviour, Saltley.

Looks like the one..
The other pairing look to be sprogging in the Neath area after the marriage.

Thanks, Pauline
