George Elvin born 4 Feb 1929 in Barnesmore Gap, Donegal
« on: Friday 15 November 19 11:30 GMT (UK) »
I have details of his marriage in the UK but his life in Barnesmore is  mystery.

I got his birth details from Ireland, Civil Registration Births Index which gives his mother's name as Ingram and the district it was registered was Stranolar.

Any idea where I can find his family or any more details about his parents please?

There is a possible marriage here for his parents

What was his father’s name on his marriage certificate?

If you haven't already got it, make an application for his birth record to GRO Ireland.

You can apply on-line for a photocopy of his entry using this form:

https://www.irishgenealogy.ie/images/content/GRO_Documents/Form_for_DAHG_site.pdf

They cost €4 each and they will email or post them to you.
