Hi im trying to get an army record for my great gra d father had no look online his name is Thomas Kimmins he was in  the British army where online cam you get records

Depends on the regiment, and era of enlistment. Places and dates need to be provided

The National archives have guides to army research
All census look up transcriptions are Crown Copyright http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/

The records of all who served after 1920 are held by the MOD.  If you want a copy you have to apply to the MOD and pay their £30 search fee.  Details here

And bear in mind that some two-thirds of all WW1 Service Records were lost in a WW2 bombing raid.
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)
