Familysearch has baptisms at Clapham, Bedfordshire with parents Abraham & Elizabeth. 
Elizabeth 1798
Sarah 1799
Samuel 1800
Ann 1801
Elizabeth 1802

Burial for an Abraham Tassell at Clapham 8 Jan 1809

Also born Clapham according to census are
Thomas Tassell bn c 1780
William Tassell bn c 1790

Have you looked at the parish registers for Clapham prior to 1800 for evidence of these baptisms

I did notice a Widw Tassell recorded 1797 on Bedfordshire, England, Land Tax Records.
Possible Mother for Abraham?

There's a PCC will of John Tassell, Farmer, of Odell, Bedfordshire, in 1818. This is just a few miles from Clapham.
