GRO Firefox
« on: Wednesday 27 November 19 10:00 GMT (UK) »
Firefox is refusing to let me access GRO site stating that it has been incorrectly configured and may be vunerable to data theft.

Anyone having similar problems or any solutions?

Hi Gadget,
 I also had a couple of days in Sept where I had problems on the PC but the tablet was OK. I ordered a cert a few days ago using the tablet but it is no longer available hence back to the PC and again haven't been able to get access for a couple of days.

Yes it is 'https', used bookmark and search for GRO, blocked both ways, even your link was blocked.

Regards,
Malcolm.

This may be of no help at all but...

I have this problem from time to time (I use Firefox). I also have an ancient desktop computer whose clock has to be put right every time I log on. Its usually still showing the date as the previous day. If I put the clock right, it invariably then lets me into the site I'm trying to access.

One day I'll geta new PC!!!

Jill, how on earth can you read Antony's helpful suggestion as 'scoffing'?

This is what 'scoffing' would look like:   ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

Just trying to help .....

The small battery, which is there to keep the date/time correct when the PC is switched off, is a replaceable item on a desktop PC and is (usually) no more difficult than changing a battery on many other appliances. The new battery (almost certainly a CR2032) will be very cheap.

As you have found - if the date is wrong it can cause quite a few problems running various programs.
