Bailie Burial place - Ballyphilip, Portaferry
« on: Wednesday 27 November 19 15:02 GMT (UK) »
I'm trying to find a burial place for the Bailie family of Portaferry, Co Down.

Nicholas Bailie (Seaman) b1808 - d1883
Ann Smith nee Bailie (his daughter) b1842 - d 25/1/1889 married to John Smith (seaman)
Jane Bailie (spinster) Ann's sister and also Nicholas daughter b1844 - d1914

They all lived in Portaferry and had connections to the Ballyphilip Church of Ireland.  Due to lack of census returns for Ireland etc it is very hard trace these people.

The old Templecranney Church and graveyard and Ballyphilip Church of Ireland are all in Church Street, Portaferry.

Looking on Google Earth, there appears to be a church graveyard beside this church.
