Achieving a Bucket List Entry
« on: Thursday 28 November 19 19:29 GMT (UK) »
Hi All

I have now embarked on trading my family history having had it on my Bucket List of things to do Post Retirement.

Certainly is addictive, but I've been learning so much about my family that I never knew - plenty of 'skeletons in the cupboard' so far.

Most of my ancestors hailed from the North of England, Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyneside, Durham.

Names of interest being Ellwood, Batey (Burnmoor), Stephenson, McDermott, Wear, Weir Ware.

Hope to find some links on the forum.

Regards

Steve Ellwood

Welcome.  You've come to the right place.  I have a lot Ware [Waire, Weare, Wire, Weir] ancestors, too but I doubt we'll find any connection.  Mine were in New England probably by the mid 1600s.
