Two Welsh vicars - father & son, both named David Evans

From the "Cenhadwr  Americannaidd, Vol 26, No 301 - January 1865" (A monthly Welsh language periodical serving the Welsh Congregationalists in America) -

"Ordination in Domgay - Mr David Evans, of Brecon College, was ordained September 27th as minister in the English Church at Domgay, Maldwyn"

An item in "Y Drygiwr" about the ordination goes on to say

"A pleasant meeting was had, and our young brother is starting his ministry under comfortable circumstances"

Thank you Hanes Teuluor for this extra information. Comfortable indeed. His children and grandchildren had a great boost in their chances in life from his talents. The education he afforded them has changed many lives.
