Hi All

I have just joined and this is my first post. I have only just discovered RootsChat, although I have been doing my family research for a few years now.

I would like some help finding out what happened to Ann, if I could?

Ann was born in 1831 (Lanarkshire, Scotland)

She imigrated to Australia with her two young sons Robert and Andrew in 1858, following her husband who emigrated a year earlier (James - married 1854). They had another son in Yackandadah, Vic. Her husband James emigrated back to the UK in 1873 and remarried. I am unable to find any information on what happened to Ann after she arrived here. I presume that if James remarried back in the UK, maybe Ann passed?

Do you have the 2nd marriage in Scotland for James?
Is he recorded as single or widower?
Have you found the children after they arrived, did they return to Scotland?

A bit more surrounding info. may help?

I've found a birth record for Robert on FindMyPast but it is not on Scotland's People, unless I am missing something.

Born 1855 Bothwell, Lanark, Scotland, parents James and Anne (nee Scouler)

Andrew's birth registered in 1857 same place as Robert and same parents.  Again no trace on Scotland's People.

Found the parents marriage on Find My Past but again can't seem to find it on Scotland's People.
