Thomas and Emma WITCOMB Frome 1836-1845(?)
« on: Wednesday 11 December 19 11:57 GMT (UK) »
My wife's ancestors, both born 1816, married in Trowbridge in 1836 with a daughter Caroline baptised at Badcox Lane in 1836 and buried in 1840 with the burial record showing the family were then at High Street, Frome, By 1845 they had moved to Chippenham living in Westmead Lane for many years.

However, I cannot clearly locate them in the 1841 census. A couple of the right ages can be found in Monmouthshire but with children Francis age 3 and Emma age 1 who appear in no birth records, or any subsequent records as far as I can see.

Can anyone help

Many thanks for that. For some reason I've not been able to find that census entry.

I'd found variable ages for the eldest son but none suggesting he was born earlier than 1842. The occupation ties in as subsequent census describe Thomas as a spinner.

Looking at the 1841 image the 't' has not been crossed and to be fair does look more like Widcomb
