This is great Jool, thank you so much, great information to add to our family story! 

Off the forum, someone provided me also with following information:  "School - there was some provision for Catholic teaching in Wolverhampton at SS Peter & Paul, but it was not sufficient for the whole population. In 1849 though, St Patrick's schoolroom on Littles Lane was opened and run by the Sisters of Mercy. This was just a boys' school to start with, girls were still educated at SS Peter & Paul."
