German Birth or Marriage Record for Bertha

Hi Everyone,

I have three families from Germany, Wichmann, Göttsch and Spann, where I am trying to find the ancestors.  So far I have made good progress, however it would help if I could find information on the following: 

Basic in formation:

Bertha Alday  DOB  30 - 09 - 1821     Gadersdorff, Duchy Holstein.
                      DOD   08 - 07 - 1864     Schönberg, Germany

Bertha Married   
     Claus Heinrich Göttsch   DOB 18 - 11 - 1823    Wisch, Duchy, Holstein
                                            DOD 20 - 09 - 1886    Schönberg, Germany

marriage date:  11 - 12 - 1847   Schönberg, Holstein.

I have not been able to find the actual German records to confirm these dates. I also have no idea of her parents, which is what I am looking to find If possible, please.  If I can find those records there may be in them the information I am looking for.

1. there is no place called Gadersdorf(f) in the vicinity of Wisch and Schönberg. There is a Gödersdorf

2. Are you sure about Bertha´s name Alday. That´s not a common German name.

3. Here´s a Göttsch site with people from the same area your people are from. Had a look but can see no fits

4. Here´s a Claus Heinrich Göttsch in the Danish census from 1840. Could fit.

Hi Dave,

  I have looked at the map and I think that this would be the area where they come from. 

Some of the info I have is suspect so it is just a starting point. 

Bertha and Claus had a daughter Amalie Cãcilie Göttsch. She is the link to future persons to these people. She married Wichmann and I have that information  from here. 

On her Death Cert here in Australia her mother is Bertha Alday.    That could be an interpretation of the name as said here.  The only references I have seen for her all say the same and there are only two. 

Re Claus Heindrich Göttsch   - the census would be him.  He was born Nov. 1823 [?]so could be registered in the 1824 time.  I do not have a second name for him so far, so this is new information.

The link to the Ancestry Person is a .de site and I am not getting past log in.  I shall contact the company to see what I can do there. 

I'll try checking about this place name and let you know further.  Might be a day  or so getting back as it is Christmas Eve here.
