JAMES HENRY STENSON (STEENSON).
« on: Friday 27 December 19 20:55 GMT (UK) »
JAMES HENRY STENSON (aka Steenson), son of Richard, was born c.1847 at Drumavrack, Cootehill.
James had at least five sisters. LETITIA married John Patterson, FANNY married William Magill, JANE married James Phair, MAMIE married James Henderson. MARY (Stenson) registered the death of their father Richard in 1895. All marriages in Killoughter Parish Church where Richard is also buried.
JAMES married Annie Hall in 1871. They had four sons and a daughter who died in infancy c 1885. In 1901 Annie (now widowed) and the four boys appeared in Belfast at the 1901 Census.
I have found no trace of James after 1885.
Does anyone out there have any information as to where/when JAMES HENRY STENSON died and/or where he is buried??

Aghadowey - that is correct. James Henry Steenson (the names Steenson and Stenson are inter-changeable) married Annie Hall in 1871. The James Henry born in 1885 was the youngest of their four sons. Three older sons Richard, William and Robert.  The child Fanny who died in 1884 was their (only ?) daughter.

Can you post link to 1901 census in Belfast (and 1911 if you found it). I couldn't see Annie & sons in 1901 and want to check some local resources for more clues.

Richard married 1904- father James Henry Stinson farmer (no indication if dead or alive as is usual on Irish certificates) https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1904/10211/5717083.pdf

Found 1901 census- under STINSON- Ann Jane listed as WIFE instead of head of household but widow under marital status-
