Note: Newtownards for the marriage certificate is the registration district.

Following the trail of Clifford Bailey from Wales who appears on the 1911 census as Samuel Miller's nephew, born circa 1886: in the 1891 England census there was a Clifford Bailey of the right age born in Swansea, son of William Bailey born Newent, Gloucestershire around 1850. That William Bailey's father appears to be William Bailey, farmer, of Newent. Per the 1861 Newent census the family includes a Fanny Bailey born Oxenhall, Gloucestershire circa 1852.

Now searching for the marriage of Ann Griffin and William Bailey in Gloucestershire.... suggestions that Fanny Bailey was born out of wedlock to Ann Griffin in Oxenhall 1851. Trying to trace the actual date of Ann’s marriage to William. Thank you!
