All Saints, Leicester - 10 November 1817

John Lewis and Elizabeth Lunn = botp

or

All Saints, Leicester - 24 July 1824

John Lewis, widower and Elizabeth Haines, spinster = botp

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

I can't see any C of E baptism for John Lewis in Leicester around 1775.  The only Leicestershire baptism for JL 1775+/- 5 years is at Wigston Magna - 26 March 1771, son of Joseph.

A far commoner surname in the Leic area is LEWIN. OP, are you sure that this is Lewis, and not a misreading or mistranscription?

I can't see a death registration in Leicester in 1843 for John Lewis - there is one registered in Lutterworth, but he is aged 24.

John Lewin died 1843 - he is aged 89, from Frog Island and buried via All Saints (service) at St Leonards, Leicester on 23 March 1843.

John Lewis, registered 1853 in Leicester RD is said to be aged 79.

How do you know he died 1843 in Leics?  If he was born 1775 he would have been approx 67/68 in 1843 but no death fits the profile you have given

Please advise the quarter and reference for the death you found
