Elizabeth MULLEY died abt 1807
« on: Sunday 29 December 19 16:03 GMT (UK) »
Hello all!  I know precious little about Suffolk as well as this topic. Briefly, I am seeking information concerning Elizabeth MULLEY, widow of Amor Hall in Washbrook, Suffolk whose will was proved July 25, 1807. I have no information concerning her will nor can I seem to obtain any information about any MULLEY family who lived in Amor Hall.  I would really appreciate ANY and all information about said Elizabeth and her ancestors as well as her husband. Thanking you in advance. Most sincerely, patrexjax

How old was she when died?

FS have over 1,700 entries for the Mulley surname in Suffolk and without knowing her maiden name or anything else about her - how can a marriage be found?

It may help if you could tell us what your connection is to her and it may be an idea to obtain a copy of the will in case it names her children etc

Did she marry Herbert Cotton in 1797?

Hello hepburn. I assume (ahem!) that "Mulley" is her married name as she is described as a widow.....
However, at this stage of things, I suppose anything is possible...   Thanks for your posting. patrexjax

Hello hepburn and all! Sorry for the delay in responding.....Yes, I see that Herbert Cotton's name pops up inn connection with Amor Hall/House.  Some have asked of my connection to the MULLEY family, so I will try to make it brief! My first cousin 6 generations back was Hannah Epton/Ebdon  b in Whickham Co. Durham but she married Richard Mulley b abt 1747 in Thurston, Suffolk! (Quite a distance AND one of Hannah's sisters, Dorothy Epton who was also born in Whickham, Co Durham married in Suffolk to a gent named William King!! Their Father was Hamor Ebdon who was also born in Co Durham (Ryton) in 1723.......  This Hamor is the first time that forename occurs in my family and it repeats itself over and over until down to a generation ever younger than myself.  So, I have always thought there must be a person named Hamor/Amor who had been an ancestor, but now I am looking at Amor Hall as a possible origin of that forename in my tree.  I hope this makes sense! Thanks to all who are reading and/or responding to this convoluted tale.  ;D Sincerely, patrexjax

Helo jonw65! Thank you for your reply! It appears I was mistaken when I thought Elizabeth had married a MULLEY!  So, it strongly appears she married a Cotton and she herself was a MULLEY!  That causes me to do some serious re-thinking of the situation....  I still have a number of Ebdon children born in Co Durham that have the possibility of marrying in Suffolk!  THANK YOU so much for your input. May I take this opportunity to wish you and all who have helped me with this quest, a most happy new year!  :)  Sincerely, parexjax
