Greenwich Union Infirmary - Cut off record assistance
« on: Thursday 02 January 20 18:52 GMT (UK) »
Evening and Happy New Year to you all
I have found a record on Ancestry for my grandfather who was in the Greenwich Union Infirmary Jan 24th 1917.
Rather frustratingly the record is cut off on the right hand side just at the point that I am trying to locate where his mother Ellen Allen was - I believe she was placed in an asylum.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to find the original record so I can see that little piece that will make all the difference
Regards
Becky

Have you clicked the right pointing arrow on the page showing your Grandfather please? You haven't given us his name and there are several entries for surname Allen -- otherwise I would have looked.

If you click the right arrow you should find the additional information on the next page.
Places of interest;
Lancashire, West Yorkshire, Southern Ireland, Scotland.

Sorry I missed that message previously -
My Grandfather was Ronald Geoffrey Spencer Allen - I will check out the Banstead asylum.
Thank you

17 May 1917 at age 7 he was admitted to the Lewisham Union Workhouse, no mention of his mother
1 July 1917 he was discharged from there and sent to Swallowfields. No parent mentioned.
