« on: Friday 03 January 20 13:01 GMT (UK) »
Hi all. Happy new year!
I'm looking for further details on following man...George Francis GORE b 14 oct 1877.
I think he could be same man who died in march1966 in saskatchewan.
Would love details of marriage, children, or an obituary.
I have some details of siblings already. Looking for descendants!
Thanks, katharine.

There is a RAOGK volunteer in Saskatchewan - second on this list - might be worth an e-mail to see if she can help.

1958 Voters' List has a George Gore of Star City in the Humboldt-Melford election district, retired. No one else listed with him in the household. Earlier record in 1940 shows him as a laborer in Star City -- still no one else listed with him.

1926 Census of the Prairie Provinces has George, aged 48, in Star City, single, labourer, born Ontario, parents b. in Ireland:

WWI Attestation Papers for a George Gore, born October 14, 1877, in Simcoe County, Ontario, living in Headingly, Manitoba, working as a railroad conductor, single; next of kin is a sister, Mrs. Annie Borrett (or Barrett) in the Sanitorium in Kamloops, BC.

Service record gives a later address of East Bay Post Office, Manitoba.  His assigned pay was to his sister, first of Collingwood, Ontario, later of Vancouver.

Last piece is notice of death for George Gore on March 20, 1966. Telegram from A.J. Walls, Treatment Services, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
