Jakeman or Jackman - Hook Norton
« on: Sunday 05 January 20 16:13 GMT (UK) »
Sarah Jakeman born Hook Norton about 1850 married John Butcher in Kenilworth 17 Apr 1877.  She gives her fathers name as Daniel.
There is a Sarah baptised in 1849 with a mother Ruth Jakeman but no fathers name given.
Can anyone see one with a father Daniel?
Thanks
Carol

Who is young Sarah living with in 1851?

It could be her mother married a Daniel making him her step father.

What occupation does Daniel have on the marriage?
Hinchliffe - Huddersfield Wiltshire
Burroughs - Arlingham Glos

Ok in 1861

Ruth 38 is living with
Joseph 16 son
and Sarah 11 daughter

so no Daniel on the scene as yet

looks like Ruth marries in 1870 as a spinster (to Solomon Franklin)

Do you know where your Sarah was in 1871? **

** think she is Sarah R Jakeman down as 71 not 21 servant

that ties in with baptism of her as Sarah Rebecca

none of this is helping with Daniel is it  :-\  maybe he was fictitious

I did wonder whether he was made up.  His occupation said labourer but that could be anything.

Thanks for looking.  Sarah doesn't appear to have a Father named Daniel.
