Alexander Leiper 1861 Census
« on: Monday 06 January 20 19:55 GMT (UK) »
Hi, I'm trying to make sense of the above record. It looks like in the right hand column(occupation) that it has "Begin Monday" scrawled across it. If I'm reading this correctly, does this just mean that's where the census taker left off at the weeks end and wrote over the top of it on Monday or am I missing something? Thank you.

Might it mean that the particular child starts at school on Monday? Although she is 11 so should already be at school. Maybe she was changing schools!!

I don't think an Enumerator would write a note for himself in ink, on the census schedule (although you never know).
