In  searching for my grand/great aunt , beyond 1911 ,  I seem to have exhausted all avenues .
In case there is still an avenue to explore I am passing on my information in the hope that someone on RootsChat may come up with something .

Thank-you , Carole

I see that www.freebmd.org.uk  also has :

Deaths March 1941 , Catherine Urquhart , age 68 , Ilford , Essex    4a 751 Urquhart , Catherine

This Catherine Urquhart seems likely to be the person who is shown in the 1939 Register :
12 06  Urquhart , Catherine  , age 72 , single  ,  incapacitated .
Address is " Special 1 " , whatever that means ?
I wonder if she was a patient in a mental hospital in Ilford , Essex ?

I also wonder whether there are any accessible records that would point to this patient's date and place of birth plus name of parent/parents ?

Not so.

It says that she was born in '72, exact date unknown.

1206 is the number of the line in the book on which she is recorded.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

Apparently a Death Certificate for a 1941  England death will contain :

When and where a person died.
Their age.
Their occupation.
The cause of death.
Details of the informant.

No mention of place of birth
No mention of parents .

That being the case there would seem to be no hope of my Scottish-born relative being identifird !
