Many thanks to both for all the digging. The tree is spreading nicely  ;)

If Giles/Julia Miller's age at death (39 years) is correct, she'd be born 1856 which puts her parents' marriage back a few years again.

Hello dathai, many thanks for all the help. The tree is now looking very healthy.

Interesting that Ann Barr nee McLaughlin's age at death in 1924 (73) puts her YOB c. 1851. If Catherine McLaughlin nee Brogan was Ann's mother, Catherine would be 13 when Ann was born (given  Catherine's death age of 80 in 1918 is correct). I wonder if Catherine was a second marriage for Daniel.

Also the witnesses to William Miller and Giles McLaughlin's marriage in 1879 were Anthony and Anne McLaughlin and wonder if Anthony was another brother or perhaps an uncle. Can't find a civil marriage for them so perhaps an older couple married RC pre-1864, or not married and some other relationship.

I've certainly got a lot further forward with this line than I expected so thanks again for your help.

I can't see it either. Marriage entries for any Catherine Brogan start at 1864 and so you're probably right about the marriage being RC. At least I know - many thanks!

Did you change criteria and just look for Brogan, Dunfanaghy?

Then click on 1800's or 1900's to get them by Decades  and Births or Marriages as needed.

You will get some early ones that have  Returns Page No and do not have images at moment but you can check back every few months to see if any were Updated.

You are welcome.

For example,  to investigate Anthony you can just use Search Criteria   Anthony, Brogan, Dunfanaghy ....see if he Married or who registered Death etc

Saves going through decades!
