Can anyone tell me how to find which piece of land on the map belonged to Hugh Hamilton of Kilsally in 1851. I find the information but don't understand how to use it. there is only one Hugh Hamilton in Kilsally in 1851 so likely the same guy who died in 1858.
Publication Details
Position on Page   49
Printing Date   1859
Act   15&16
Sheet Number   39

That would help me so very much. thank you.

Thank you so much. It is much appreciated but I am still puzzled because it says Ballyveeny just above those circled 14s, rather than Kilsally.

Yes...you need to do that search and look for Townland you want and look for property numbered whatever you want!

Ok, thanks. I have looked for a 14 in Kilsally and it does make sense that it could be the correct  Hugh Hamilton. If the correct Hugh Hamilton, his son Charles married Mary Ann Duffin, daughter of Patrick Duffin who  owned land just a few miles or less, north of #14 in Kilsally. I visited Patrick's former land in Sept this year, land inhabited by lots of cows.
I have now looked in the Revisions and it appears to me that Benjamin Boothe took over the land in 1863. Wonder if he was a relative, like son-in-law.

On second thought, this can't be the father of  Charles who married Mary Anne Duffin as that Hugh was still having children in 1859 and 1862.
