Kirriemuir marriage

I am trying to find marriage details for Jno ( John ) Birnie b 1750. He was a dyster at Meikle Mill and had four children, John (1773), Jean (1775), Anne ( 1775) twins and David (1777).

There are no surviving records of marriages in Kirriemuir before 1821, so you are going to struggle to find this.

Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.
