Marcus Dodds was born September qtr 1905  Carlisle 10b 626 see www.freebmd.org.uk

Have you looked for him on the 1911 census?  www.familysearch.org  here's the entry

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:X729-4HN

Have you checked GRO online to establish his mothers maiden name?

https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/Login.asp  you will find his mothers maiden name was Wallace

Yes its the information from the marriage certificate that i need. I have his siblings baptisms from the church in Carlisle, though Marcus record was not there just his six siblings. I have him on the census for 1911.

Yes i have his fathers info, and the 1939 record, but i can't find his wife Mabel Kerr, her baptism record.  So the wedding certificate info would help me. I know she was born 10th September 1909. I checked the GRO but couldn't see it.
Thank you.

Perhaps she wasn't born in UK ?

Mary Anne Kerr b 1875 Angleterre wife
Mabel Kerr b Sep 1909 Quebec
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QVB4-KYFJ

This family arrived back in Liverpool 21 Aug 1912 from Montreal on the ship Lake Champlain , intending to remain in England.

This is really random, but could Mabel have been born in Canada?  There is an tree on FamilySearch with Mable Kerr born 10 Sept 1909 (died 16 Feb 1997) to John Kerr and Mary Ann Douglas.  The tree goes a few generations back on both Mabel and Marcus.

In the Canadian 1911 Census, John and Mary Ann both give England as their birth place and Mabel as Quebec. There is a marriage in Whitehaven in 1902 for John Kerr and Mary Ann Douglas.

I could check in the church record in Carlisle Archives when I next go, but not sure when that will be.  Carlisle should also hold a copy of the records for Whitehaven as well.
