Isaac Fearon and Mary Beeby Pardshaw Hall, Cumberland 20 05 1794
« on: Wednesday 15 January 20 20:04 GMT (UK) »
Hi,
I wondered if anyone has any record of the parents of either Isaac Fearon (born 1749)or Mary Beeby (born Dean,1764), who were married at Pardshaw Hall, Cumberland 20 05 1794?

I have some thoughts that Isaac's parents may have been John Fearon and Deborah Nutt?
I think Mary's mother may be called Margaret?

I am just fascinated to get back as far as I can with our family history and I am a little stumped!
Many thanks for any further help or links to my family tree.

I see the marriage you mention in 1794 on family search, which names the parents, how did you arrive at his birth year as 1749?

If Isaac was 45 when he married Mary I just wonder if this was his second marriage, or was he born later?

Thanks Ciderdrinker, no need to email. [I'm not the original poster.]
I was interested in the similarity to names and places in my tree, although I can't make any connections yet. Then amazed at the amount of information available. I wasn't aware that all that was available online. Thanks

Thanks very much Ciderdrinker. The information you have given me fits in with what I already had. Wonderful to have a few extra details and confirmed parents of Isaac Fearon. :)

Good Morning
You are welcome to have  as much info as I can find .

So Isaac son of Isaac Fearon yeoman  and Mary his wife  birth in Quaker registers 5.6.1803 at Sosgill.
wit Mary Nicholson and Jonh Pele?  Pardshaw Meeting House

This fits with a possible Will for Isaac Fearon Senior 21.9.1840 of St Bees Yeoman at Sosgill loweswater .Archdeanery of Richmond at Lancashire Archives Ref R294B/56
Apparently a copy cost £10.
There's a death Duty record for it at the National Archives IR27/253
Death Cert June qtr 1840 at Cockermouth vol 25 pag 63.

Other children John 3.3.1795 in Dean Scales  yeoman wit Mary Lancaster and Mary Johnson
Mary 10.10.1796 Dean Scales wit John Cecil and Mary Johnson
Margaret 6.7.1798 Sosgill Loweswater yeoman JC and Mary Johnston
Deborah 31.1.1800 of Loweswater yeoman wit Mary Nicholson and John Cecil?
Sarah 2.10.1801  Sosgill loweswater yeoman same
Rebecca 18.6.1805 Sosgill Loweswater Mary Nicholson and John ?eill
Henry 18.5.1807  at Scarsgill Loweswater yeoman Mary Nicholson and Johnathon Cecil surgeon.

Isaac son of his brother John yeoman  and wife Sarah Fearon at Wood in Whinfell Brigham 7.7.1799 .
wit Deborah Fearon  (her mark)and Lydia Black Pardshaw Meeting House.
Isaac apparently went to be a Merchant in London .Death 31.1.1816 burial 5.2.1816 Hackney.

He is their only child.
His parents were married Gill Foot Coldbeck.John of Deans yeoman s  of John and Deborah etc.Sarah d of Thomas and wife Mary (she's dec ) of Mosedale 3.7.1777.
Relatives I didn't have time to add
Isaac Nutt ,Jonah and Jonathon Harrison ,Ann Tiffen ,Jane Todhunter ,Esther Wren,The Marks-John Mary,Sarah ,Thomas and George, another George and Mary .,Isaac and John Slee,Joseph ,Mary and William Peet,John Nutt,John ,Mary and Jonathon Fearon,Eliker Robinson and Joseph Walker.

John's death 10.4.1781 age 28 years of Wood and W.Gravedigger Mathew Black Burial 12th at Pardshaw.
Possible Will 12.5.1781 again at D of Richmond but says of Distington so perhaps another John Fearon.

That burial/death  for Deborah Fearon is at Holme meeting 11/13 July 1801 age 75 of Birkby wife of John Fearon.
Struggling to be sure of a death /burial for him
John Fearon 2.12.1803 at Cockermouth age 73 could be him but no witness that points to whether he is the correct one.Burial 4th.
No he's a tallow chandler so not him

There's a death duty record for a John Fearon of Mary Port 1814  IR27 /149 but I can't see a death/burial.

I'll keep going for other children of John and Deborah ,and see if I can get a better idea of a marriage date etc.
