Robson - Jeffery Marriage lookup for Houghton le Spring 1885

Hi,

If anyone has access to Houghton le Spring marriage registers, I am looking for the transcript of an 1885 marriage of Margaret ROBSON to Thomas John Jeffery on 8th August by licence.

If you know the church and the date, then a cheaper option than a cert may be to order a copy from the parish register via Durham Records Office 'quick search' facility which will cost £5.
They will send a copy via email and its the same info as on a GRO cert, with the added bonus of original signatures on the record.

If you live near enough you can see the record at Durham Records Office
another avenue would be to visit an LDS FHC where you can view the images on their pcs

The licence says they married at Newbottle, so not sure why you were asking about the registers for Houghton le Spring

I have a transcript of those marriages except for the witnesses. Witnesses would have been included if it appeared like they were a relative of the couple
