Birth of Ellen Almand

Hello,

I am having trouble finding the birth reg or baptism of Ellen Almand born in 1851 Churton, Cheshire.
Her parents were William Almand and Harriet Edwards.
Her parents however married in 1853, which would point to Ellen probably being Harriets illegitimate daughter.
I think I have found Harriet as a servant for the Lowe family in Clutton, Cheshire in 1851.

I have tried looking for births in the area of both Ellen Almand (name varies spelling) and Ellen Edwards, with no luck.

Can anyone help?

Have you tried variations of Ellen as well as the surname, like Helen.

Was it the first marriage for both William & Harriet?

Yes I did try and look through names like Helen and Eleanor.

Have you got Ellen on a census as a child?

Found the 1861 under "Allmen" where Ellen is 10 but no luck with a birth

In 1861 she is born in Crewe which was in the Nantwich registration district.

That's a good suggestion and means we can look for her in 1851, maybe with a grandparent like Harriets mother.

Well there is a baptism for a Harriet Ellen but with mothers name Elizabeth 

Baptism 21 Jul 1850 Wybunbury - if that is the same birth.

In 1851 she is a 9 month old visitor to John & Ellen Weaver.  Other visitors are Henry & Elizabeth Walker, maybe Elizabeth is the mother.

There is a birth registered for Ellen Edwards in 1853 mother's maiden name Edwards LLANRWST UNION on GRO
