Locating a grave in Salford
« on: Monday 20 January 20 21:01 GMT (UK) »
Hi I’m trying to locate a grave in Salford but the Salford website doesn’t seem to have a search engine like Manchester.gov website, any way I could locate this info without paying. I could end up paying a lot as I’m not sure which cemetery she could be in

Hi,

You need to give more information, for instance

Date/year of death, if this is prior to 1911 have you found the deceased on a Census?

If so what is the nearest cemetery to this address?

If after 1911 have you searched newspapers?

Giving death date and possibly a name will assist in others attempting to find a burial.

She is recorded on deceasedonline. Free info: died 18-May-1974, cremated on 23rd, but you have to pay to see the register scan. There is no option to buy a map, which probably means the ashes aren't in a cemetery or crematorium grounds.
Researching Penge, Anerley, (incuding the Crystal Palace) and neighbouring parts of Beckenham, currently in London (Bromley), formerly Surrey and/or Kent.
