E. J. Jones Newport
« on: Tuesday 21 January 20 05:24 GMT (UK) »
Hi all, I have a photo of a lovely lady taken on her90th Birthday with the Mayor of Newport. On the back it says E.J. Jones December 1948. So born in December 1858 and probably not a Jones then but guessing she was by lets say 1888. Any ideas on marriage and or census info? Thanks in advance, Phil.

Osprey, that is great. It looks like she is no relation of mine but my Nan used to live in Morden rd at I think 66 which would probably have been opposite. Not sure when my Nan moved into that house but it would have been much later in the ladies life. Probably good friends. So thank you for solving a mystery photo I’ve had for years, Phil.
