John Short Cuckfield
« on: Tuesday 21 January 20 17:22 GMT (UK) »
Hello guys,

My ancestor  John Short and his wife Mary had 3 Children in Cuckfield

Elizabeth b. 1727
Ann b.1728
Mary b.1731

I need help to find the marriage of John Short and Mary. Online trees have Mary’s maiden name as Budd and that John was born in Lindfield Sussex son of James Short and first wife Mary Piper. I don’t copy online trees because most of them are false or have no sources for their information.

Can someone help me to trace the family please ? I appreciate every help  :)

Interesting! ;D Is there a marriage for James and Elizabeth, her maiden name could be Marchant.

Is there a baptism for a Mary Budd in Lindfield or nearby parish ?

Thank you omega for the marriage! Does it say of what parish they are? Would love to know where they are from and where they were baptised

I was very happy about the Henfield baptism for Mary Budd 1698, but I’ve found a marriage in Henfield 1726 for a Mary Budd which could be her, she married Abraham Muzzle so she can not be my Mary Budd  :(
