I am related to William Henry Merrills on his father's side. His paternal grandmother was Ann Burkitt from Laxton, Notts, who was sister of my ancestor Mary Burkitt. I do have a fair amount of information the Merrills/Burkitt side of the family.

Happy to share any information with CWGC but do you know what they are looking for?

William was 22 and the son of John Burkitt Merrills and Emma Merrills of Eldon Street, Tuxford.


If he was born in 1891 he would have been older than 22 when he died.

Parents names are correct but his birth was registered Mar.1896 East Retford - mmn Cook.

His parents John and Emma married Jun.1882 East Retford.   Census shows he was born in East Markham, Notts.
