Named after William Huskisson - Treasurer of the Royal Navy - I live 5 miles from Huskisson St - there is also a Huskisson Dock - on the Mersey river front .
This is a huge house for 1 person - I just wonder if it was used as a type of boarding house for Merchant Seaman ???   just a guess

take a look

2 more elderly residents in 1939 but I agree - a huge house for 3 people.

Have a look at this entry for Eliza Tomlinson - 44 Huskisson St.  She was 80 when she died

https://www.thegazette.co.uk/London/issue/33914/page/1296/data.pdf

Probate shows she died at 152 Bedford St

https://probatesearch.service.gov.uk/Calendar?surname=Tomlinson&yearOfDeath=1933&page=2#calendar

Take a look at the 1911 entry for her - occupation is interesting

Lesley

If you ever need to search just for an address - FindMyPast is the only site that has that facility for every census.  Ancestry is more limited

FindMyPast and The Genealogist. Perhaps more accurate to say that Ancestry is the only one that doesn't have that facility.

Thank you all. I gave up my findmypast sub last year (never having used the address search!) and just kept ancestry because of the DNA test. Now I regret it. But am very grateful for your help. Keeping fingers crossed re sarch for Samuel W Chaddock
