Death of a Veteran
« on: Tuesday 28 January 20 18:30 GMT (UK) »
Hi folks.  Does anyone have any information on a guy called Mathew Hambly of Caradon Town in Liskeard Cornwall.  In the newspaper clip it states he spent time, in the navy during the late war with Napoleon and was one of the hero's of Trafalgar, in the vessel in which Nelson fell.  The newspaper artical was from 1862 where the announcment that he died aged 84.  He was born in 1778 but not sure he was born here but he did live here up until his death.  LIly

Struggling to find a Mat(t)hew Hambly/Hambley amongst the muster roll of the Victory.
Can spot a Peter Hambley at Trafalgar, died 1848.
