Yes, but my point was the 1939 register was updated to include name changes from later years, so you should find Mollie (or Lillian) under their married names as well. And as I mentioned, try the address search for the place they were living in 1935

Mollie is still called Baker in 1959 electoral registers, although her first husband is last seen with her in 1956

Sorry misunderstood,I have since searched 1939 under address and found them, miss spelt name as you said.. No George so assume he has probably died by then..

Thank you for info on Mollie too, guessed it was around then that they split up, but not sure if they ever divorced,she must have come back to Reading then as they lived in London after 1945 but it was all very hushed up in the family at the time and no one to ask now.
