Samuel Stewart and Mary Carty departing Ireland

Hi
i am having big problems solving my greats I haven’t been able to solve it so far so will post it here   maybe someone can find out information
Samuel Stewart Carty b.abt 1846  and wife Mary Elizabeth (nee sidford)b.abt1849 and 2 children in Ireland  left to Emigrate from Ireland to New Zealand but they didn’t come out here straight away they went to Melbourne as he had a brother there don’t know how long he stayed there   before he came across to the South Island of New Zealand and only stayed there a short time before going to North Island and stopped in Wellington    The time frame is short they had to travel between February 1874 from Dublin to Australia then when they arrived in NZ
in the South Island two children were born one in 1875 the other one in 1877 then they went north. I can’t find what ship they sailed on all the way to Australia    leaving Ireland and heading to New Zealand
any help would be great

Thank You for information is there anyway I can get information on samuels Father and Mother
I have Richard T Carty and Susannah McComas but I also have Letitia Godkin unsure if he married twice and who is his family any help would be great

-Samuel Stewart son of the late Mr Richard Carty of Wexford to Mary Elizabeth youngest daughter of Mr George Sidford of this city (Dublin)
