Herbert George Potter born Q4 1882 York
« on: Monday 03 February 20 15:01 GMT (UK) »
The above was the son of William Potter and Hannah Ovington, as was his sister Winnie born 1891. Herbert married Edith Elizabeth Mollan (born 27 Jul 1881) 15 Oct 1904 Leeds; they had 2 children, George Granville Potter born 20 Apr 1908 York and Irene Potter born Q1 1910. They all appear on the 1911 census at 29 Stanley St,  Haxby Rd, York but I can find no records for them after then?
Nor can I find a birth record for Winnie who appeared on the 1901 census at 19 Johns St, St Maurice, York or any records for her thereafter?

milliepede I noted that Herbert recorded his father as George but believe he was either confused or had forgotten  his father's name and job. I don't know when his father passed away but his mother married again Q1 1907 to James William Nutbrown. Herbert's cousin was a witness at his wedding with Edith-Charles W Borwell.
Winnie Potter was the daughter of Hannah nee Ovington and William Potter and appeared on the 1901 census with them.
Interested to note the passing of George G in Birmingham and the family in Kent in 1939-thank you for those.
