Something else odd appears to be happening - just looked at an E&W marriage entry and didn't get the full info - just year and RD, no reference details, nor full name of spouse.

There was a message at the top of their website on Saturday saying they were making changes and that service would be slow. I wonder if these are the changes we're seeing now.

Told me they were available . Then I mentioned the Permission Denied message that JenB had and he said

there may have been a change of access granted by the owners of the records

Now wants me to go to Catalogue and type in Scotland

The Scottish Censuses for 1871, 1881 and 1891 are listed in their 'Collections'.

However if I try to search within any of these three censuses for people I was able to find on Monday, they are no longer there  :-\

I told him to look at some that I'd tried to pull up but none there now. He's  gone to look. It could take a while so I've asked for an e-mail response.

They did the same with me over the missing Devon records - kept saying they were there if I followed a convoluted route to access them, which I did, and some were there, but they're still disconnected from the main page county search function (i.e. for 'Devonshire'). I gave up in the end but at least the Devon records are there (somewhere).

Attached is a screenshot of the records for Scotland - not many, and the number for each of the censuses has fallen over the last few days. The highest number was 45k yesterday. Today's it's 6.5k. Going, going, gone?

I would expect the 1881 transcript to remain on their site as they are the ones who transcribed it
