Sweetwater, Nebraska
« on: Tuesday 04 February 20 14:11 GMT (UK) »
Having difficulty pin pointing Sweetwater on a Mormon trail.  According to records, one family member was born there in 1861.

There seems to be a tiny 'settlement' of that name today but it doesn't appear to be one of the regular stop overs on the trail. I assume, therefore that having to give a place name, the parents settled on the river Sweetwater - being close to it at that time!

If anyone has any other suggestion pleeeease let me know.  Many thanks

Sandra thank you so much.  I thought I had tried every site for Buffalo County but missed the obvious one.  Doh.  Always the way isn't it?

Once again, many thanks.
