FRY family Tashinny Parish
« on: Wednesday 05 February 20 14:16 GMT (UK) »
I am seeking information about this family farming at Augharanagh in the nineteenth century. James and Isabella Fry's daughter Esther married Edward Howard of the same parish in 1840. Does anyone have any clues about their earlier history.

Very many thanks. Whilst I have an idea as to where the Fry family lived I have no idea where they came from. That is the real object of my enquiry. I very much appreciate you taking the time to respond.

Hi

There was a Tashinny Parish (Church of Ireland) in Co Westmeath and their records go back to 1821.

Regards

OP, here's a list of available parish registers from the RCBL.

Thank you. The Parish register is where I must go. Do you know if these can be viewed on-line or is a trip to Dublin called for (not that I would call that a hardship).

Only a small number of registers have been digitised and are on-line.

See: https://www.ireland.anglican.org/about/rcb-library/online-parish-records

You will probably have to visit in person to see the church registers for the parish of Tashinny.

Enjoy Dublin!  8)
