An Alice Louise BIGGS died 1912 age 18 (M Quartet - registration in Lambeth).
No other information on GRO index regarding parents.

Was she in Surbiton hospital in 1911 - not too far to Lambeth?

Sadly I don't have a clue. Someone mentioned the hospital record on this thread. Only way of finding out I think would be for me to order the certificate. Just checking but I think it says Louisa rather than Louise.

My mother in law b 1920 had Louise as a second name, or sometimes it was Louisa!, even now if you ask her two children they are not 100% sure which is right, and have to check her birth cert. so I don’t think you can get too bogged down in one vowel.

Similarly my own name has an A on the end, but I am frequently called by the version with an E and there are probably some officialish documents out there with the wrong name on.
And even some with another name that starts with he first syllable of my correct name!

Trying to think of an example that isn’t mine...

Say.  Annabelle. Annabella. Anastasia.

Yes absolutely.  I'll get the certificate and see what it says I think.

On the 1939 registrar there is
Charlotte E. Ringley (or Ridgley) with the exact dob - 4 Oct 1891
married to husband of Arthur J.
living at 101 Lisker Ave, Bradford, Yorkshire.

That is tantalising. At the moment I'm struggling to find any marriage details.

I think that surname is MIDGLEY.  And the marriage is

Marriages Mar 1916   (>99%)
Haley    Charlotte E    Midgley    Bradford    9b   1_7

Shame

No, she's listed as born Surbiton but as shown in the link to the Familysearch 1911 census record she's in Lambeth Infirmary

Thank you everyone who's been helping. Bit overwhelming that so many are willing to help. I've left my memory stick at work but would it help on Monday if I upload the original birth certificates?

It is better if you just type out the information.  We normally only post parts of documents for deciphering purposes
Census information is Crown Copyright, from www.nationalarchives.gov.uk
