Help finding a fathers name?

Hi I'm trying to find a father's name for one of my ancestors Thomas millett eddy born in 1782 Kenegie, Gulval, Cornwall, England I have looked up baptism records and I can only find transcriptions of the record not a digitized version of the record (help with a digitized version would be good)
On the transcription it only gives the mothers name caroline eddy I'm interested it if there is any way of finding out the fathers name I have also tried to look for marriage records but i couldn't find anything if she was married or not any help or advice would be appreciated thanks

If only the mother's name is given it is highly likely that the child was illegitimate. The chances of finding the name of the father are pretty low unless you can find a Bastardy Bond or something similar.

Check to see if the mother married soon after she may have married the childs father

perhaps not as she has a daughter Hannah also base born 3rd April 1785,and her possible death in Ludgvan aged 73 years , burial feb 10th 1827,no details on the burial record ,doesn't state widow or wife

Millet as a middle name may be a clue to his parentage,if that is his death April 28th 1849,the transcript does not contain the middle name ,abode Kenegie

Hi Emeltom, good point about him being illegitimate.if that's the case he is I would like to try and find a record confirming it .also how would I go about finding a bastardy bond .
Phillip searching, I tried that and I couldn't find an image of the register with Thomas millett eddy on it help with this would be great
Radcliff I have also tried looking for a marriage record between millett and eddy with no success
Thanks for the suggestions

If you go onto the Cornwall OPC site (cornwall-opc-database.org) and look for the baptism for Thomas you will see that in the notes it states "Base child" meaning he was illegitimate. I have had a quick look for a Bastardy Bond but there is nothing on the Cornwall OPC site.
