Emma selina ladbury Feckenham
« on: Sunday 09 February 20 15:47 GMT (UK) »
I know Emma selina ladbury was employed by Worcestershire County council as an elementary school head teacher in the early 1900s. I am trying to find out which school this would have been.  Does anyone know where I can find out?

No but have you got her on the 1901 census as a teacher?  If so you may just be lucky and she was residing at or near the school.

I also have the 1939 register where she is living in littleover avenue hall green Birmingham with her sister. This is also where she died.  Would love to know which school it was as I think it may have been unusual to have a female head teacher .

Why do you think she was a head teacher in Worcestershire.

I don't really know where she worked but she lived in shifnal, Feckenham and Birmingham so she could have had several positions. Could have been Worcestershire, Shropshire or Warwickshire. ..but she put down "county council " as her employer.
