Unable to search the GRO index for my great grandparents death certificates as it doesn’t cover those dates. Any other way to get any information?

Is it actual certificates you need, or would death / interment details from parish records re burials etc. suffice?
Threlfall (Southport), Isherwood (lancs & Canada), Newbould + Topliss(Derby), Keating & Cummins (Ireland + lancs), Fisher, Strong& Casson (all Cumberland) & Downie & Bowie, Linlithgow area Scotland . Also interested in Leigh& Burrows,(Lancashire) Griffiths (Shropshire & lancs), Leaver (Lancs/Yorks) & Anderson(Cumberland and very elusive)

Try familysearch, find a grave, google

I use these options frequently as well as subscription sites

If it is Hildegard then her registration details are on freebmd.  I have not looked for the other one  but freebmd cover those dates.

You can then order the certificate through the GRO website

I already have Hildegard certificate, it’s for my othe great grandparents, I can’t order the certificate on the GRO website as you can’t search for the dates 1957-1984

You can order from GRO if you have the reference [which you can get from the sites mentioned by others above], the GRO just haven't indexed them.
