Hi Sandra.
Thank you so much for all the info. The burial card is strange with Charles on it instead of Clarence, but everything else matches.
ALL the info matches Clarence Leroy Hummer that married widow Florence Elizabeth Fehr Rodgers (widowed). I am 100% happy with that.

The Clarence L Hummer that married Pauline Smith circa 1942 (who died 1967) would of been in the Philipsburg area. I don't know anything abt him, but the age of the one in all the records, who was born and brought up in Philipsburg, seems to fit the bill? Whilst I can't be 100% sure, I am as sure as is possible. The added fact that their is a distant family relationship between Pauline Smith and the first husband of Florence Fehr seems to add to the likelihood. It would appear to be to many coincidences other than to be correct.

Thank you for your help.

Hi Sandra.
Many thanks for that.
Now I have just perused all the info I have again, before I press the merge button for Clarence L Hummer, husband of Pauline Smith & Clarence Leroy Hummer, husband of Florence Fehr Rodgers. Apart from all the dates being feasible, I have spotted two more clues. The obit for Pauline Hummer nee Smith's father gives her as Mrs Pauline Hummer of Riegelsville.

Now the obit for Clarence Leroy Hummer says he worked at the Riegal paper mill co for 32 years before retiring in 1976. We know he was a barman when conscripted in 1940. So another manual job seems probable. The location fits with Pauline's father's obit's mention of her as Mrs Pauline Hummer of Riegelsville.

Pauline Smith & Florence's first husband Hubert Fred Rodgers were first cousins one removed.

Eureka????? Can I press the merge button for Clarence L Hummer & Clarence Leroy Hummer?????????
