« on: Monday 17 February 20 11:04 GMT (UK) »
Hi To All.
I have been trying to track down the Mothers of my 3 x Great Grandparents. The Couple in Question is a James Parsons & Althener Gibbs, the Marriage took Place 5th August 1839 in The Parish Church of Worth, Sussex.
The Marriage Register states that the Fathers are George Night for James Parsons and Thomas Gibbs for Althener Gibbs. Althener later died in 1850. I Cannot find them in the 1841 Census, is Gibbs an Irish Name ?. PLease Help. Regards

William Tingley married Sarah Gibb in Worth 26 May 1833

In 1841 William Tingley was age 35, Sarah was 45.  I suspect that Sarah is Atheners mother

Alithea Gibbs (as transcribed) bp.10/2/122 East Grinstead, dau. of Thomas and Sarah.

Thomas Gibbs married Sarah Holman 12/4/1819 East Grinstead.

In 1841 as Athena Parsons aged 20 she is with William and Sarah Tingley in Lingfield but no James with her.
